The first show out of the UK started the international journey of the collective. With the performance of opera singer, Carolina Muñoz, one of the most important art fairs in the Madrid circuit hosted Food of War first Spanish show and became a presence hard to miss due to the Gastroperformances and a big edible radioactive cloud as a taste of what Clouded Lands would be. With works by Quintina Valero, Zinaida Lihacheva and Omar Castañeda.

Food of War became the only collective invited back to back to the fair. With audiences wanting more after the previous year, the collective showcased a teaser of the upcoming exhibition in Burgos plus a performance of Carolina Muñoz.

ArtLima 2017

The first Latin American show in one of the most rising art fairs of the continent. By dealing with the then rising food crisis in Venezuela as main subject, the collective became a talking point when intervening portraits of Simon Bolivar, making collages of the long queues in Caracas and doing a performance about Venezuelans looking for food in the garbage.

PAST EXHIBITIONS

ArtBoWeekend 2019

During this vibrant art weekend taking place in Bogota, the collective launched a preview of the first big Food of War exhibition in Colombia: Peace at the Tables?. Both a taste and a test of such monumental show that will come in full a few months later, the preview in ArtBo ignited the flame of a great upcoming art event.
